Circuit City is running a sale on laptops and this offer on Lenovo is one of the better ones. You get the Lenovo IdeaPad Y430 – Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0GHz processor, 3GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, CD burner, 802.11b/g/n wireless networking, built-in webcam & microphone, 14.1” LCD, etc. – for just $580 after rebates. If you are interested, you can also get a Lexmark X2690 all-in-one (no fax), D-Link wireless router and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 free after rebates. So all in all, a pretty good value.
Most of these are sold out online but are widely available for online purchase with in store pickup. Note that you must have all of them on the same order, you cannot buy them separately.
If you don’t want the accessories, I suggest you still buy them and then sell them locally (maybe on Craigslist). That way, you can reduce your effective cost for the laptop.
