If you have heard of micro finance websites like Prosper, then here is one more called Lending Club. There is absolutely no lending involved if you choose not to do so. The premise is simple – this site brings individual borrowers or lenders together for mutual benefit. Lenders get better rates on their investment (you can invest less than $100 at a time) but with a higher risk than a bank deposit while borrowers get easier access to loans in these tough times.
I signed up a couple of days ago and the bonus money is already in my account. Once my bank account is verified, I will be free to move this out with no further obligation. Easy money, isn’t it? And no, this is not a April Fool’s promotion.
