Here is the easy way to do it -
1. Open a checking account at Chase and make 5 debit card purchases OR make a direct deposit, both within 60 days – this gives you 10,000 bonus miles
2. Get a Chase Continental Airlines Preferred debit card and make a non-PIN (use it like a credit card with signature required) purchase within 60 days – get another 15,000 bonus miles
25,000 miles on Continental Airlines qualify for a free round-trip ticket within the continental US. You also get the first checked bag free if your Continental membership number associated with the Preferred debit card is noted in the reservation (or show it at the airport counter).
Offer ends Dec 31, 2009. Note that the Preferred debit card comes with an annual fee of $65.
