eBank is offering a new online checking account that offers a return of 5.0% APY, that too without any requirements of a certain number of debit card transactions every month. While the minimum balance to get this rate is $10,000, the return is very good considering its just a checking account.
Note that you must maintain a minimum daily balance of $2,500 to avoid paying account maintenance fees of $10 per month. Other things – you get a Equifax hard pull when applying, there are no ACH transfers available (unless you push or pull from another bank) and the rate may drop after a few months.
